My Hobby is Doll Making

Well, it’s not, actually. But I’m trying to felt one doll for Dori, so far it was fun, now the poor thing lays around the main bedroom window, half dead half alive and certainly rather creepy (limbless), because I seem to be incapable to push myself into felting it some feet and arms, so I can dress it.
I should, though. The boxes for Kuwait with most of the stuff we have will be shipped very soon, and I won’t have much things left to do. Also, I intended to finish the toy before departing, so Dori can have it matched with her felted purse, which she – I’m happy – likes and wears.

The poor baby is sick now, crying her eyes out because of so much pain caused by epitympanitis and the doctor’s generous share of Paracetamol but nothing else for its management. I think a doll like that would make her a bit smilier, maybe even forget the pain for a little moment and have fun a bit around the bed.
She took over my half of it, completely ignoring her own basinet – clever girl, she knows where it’s comfy. I just pray that the inflammation will fade before Thursday, or we are so doomed on the plane. And all the passengers in the same cabin as well..

Ještě me napadlo, nejdřív tu šalvěj pořádně vyždímej, ať jí to nestéká do ucha nějak hromadně.

Doktorka tvrdi, ze je to virus.

Four days is too long, maybe you should take her to see the doctor again. I would be worried to take her aboard an airplane like this…
Forgive me for breaching protocol now and slip back to my mother tongue but it’s going to be much easier this way for me. So here goes our family treatment of epitympanitis:

Hm, a teď ta ironie – když to do konce druhého dne nepovolí, zajít k doktorovi.

Epitympanitis usually appears one day, you start to treat it, treat it for the second day and if the child is still suffering from pain on the end of the second day, you should go see the doctor. The thing is, epitympanitis can be from bacterial or/and viral infection so all you can do with sage is take the inflammation away and hope the rest will take care of itself. In 90% of the cases it is enough.

Thank you for your wishes and as I am not familiar with islamic forms of greeting: live long and prosper!

Thank you for your wishes, sis’, if God wills she will be up and running in no time again.
She mainly sleeps, so she shouldn’t be in much pain.
Tio, indeed, but without proper medication? So far it’s been 4 days and it doesn’t seem to fade away, but they refused to deal with it unless there’s a liquid pressuring the eardrum. :( Now unless I make a real hysterical scene there, I don’t think anything will be done – and even that way, I would bet my shoes on placebo just to shut me up. :)
Itto, doll making is tricky as portraits in photography and pencil and other stuff we all know about, and it depends on your views. I don’t get offended by this reminder of many of my Sunni sisters, but I will go my way – if that is wrong, I will get corrected on the way, inshallah.
I wish you both (any any other non-commenting reader) a beautiful day and many blessings for you and your families.

Sick child =( I’ve never seen epitympanitis last more than two maybe three days which is good, flying certainly wouldn’t make it better.
A doll? I’ve made a big red ball for my flash disk so I could easily find but a doll? Not a shapeless lump? Talk about time investment!
